Had fun the other night playin some Minute To Win It games...helped us focus-in on our talk about seeing what kind of Life-Targets God may have for your life - instead of just settling for where you end up. Gather the kinds of friends around you who will encourage you and help you get to those goals!

So, who are you rubbing shoulders with? People who are going to make you wise? Or people who are going to get you in trouble? Beyond that…are they going to encourage you in your relationship with God…? Cause that’s who you want as your closest friends if you care anything about growing as a Christian…and if there’s no growth, you’re stagnant….and stagnant stuff stinks….

Too Far...
Well, last week we played a few games and talked about going too far in relationships, what that looks like, and what the consequences can be. A tough thing to avoid doing when so many people around you not only are crossing those lines, but they don't see anything wrong with it! It's why it's SO important who our close friends are and what kind of standards they hold to and will help hold us to!
This week: Drop-In & talkin about "Clean Sheets"...the last week in our series on Relationship Boundaries...hope you can all make it!

Snow and Faking It...
Shoveled a few driveways, threw a few ice-chunks, talked about some statements society tries to get us to believe, and finished the night off with a nice cup of hot chocolate...
It's sad when the world is faking knowing how to handle the physical boundaries in dating...or maybe they are done trying to figure out "what's best" and they've just moved on to "what feels best" or "what I want right now". If we go to the length of calling ourselves Christian, we need to realize that we're called to a different standard than those who don't care about this whole Jesus-thing.
It's so tough when the 'norm' is NOT what God wants for us...but as we try to make a stand because of our beliefs, we have to try and remember what we looked at in 1 Corinthians...that we won't be tempted beyond what we can handle...with God's help of course ;)
Be strong...cause "Fire in the fireplace is a beautiful thing...but fire on the carpet can burn down the house." Sex, in the right context, is awesome...but when we stray from God's plan for it, it can leave quite the devastation behind.

Honour
Last week (the 13th), we talked about swords and Honour...and where Honour finds it's place in relationships. We talked about how guys learning to Honour the women God's already put in their lives (mom, sister, etc) could really help them in preparing for them to Honour and respect their future wife. We also addressed the girls, and that so many of them look for mere acceptance from guys instead of standing firm on a list of things their future guy needs to have - one of those things being the ability to Honour them and also the desire to commit to them longterm. We looked at the fact that God calls us, as Christians, to live a different life than that of those who don't believe in Him...so our relationships and how we pursue someone of the opposite sex (and how we treat them) needs to be different too.
